TDS 2007:
As many of you are aware, TDS was moved from it's home near Salt & Sea to
Ocotillo Wells this year. Despite speculation on the attendees, our
expectations were high. We were prepared to see thousands of people as
we had in years previous. We weren't disappointed.
We pulled in to set up in vendor row on Friday. As far as the eye
could see, there were RV's, Motor coaches, tents, and toys. The
expectation of 22 vendors, due to another off-road event, turned into 76
vendors. It took some serious effort on the part of the promoter to
manipulate the space provided to make sure every vendor fit. We were
extremely pleased with where we ended up. Our booth was near the
front, in direct site of the stage, where good foot traffic was expected.
The weather was warm and the winds mellow. It was shaping up to be
a great weekend for wheelin'. Ron went out Saturday morning and did a
photo shoot with Mike Reynolds. We should see publication in the next
couple of months. There was amazing interest in the buggy and it's
components, so we made sure that everyone received the information they
needed and answered their questions. Several people remembered us from
events and made it a point to look for us in vendor row so they could see
how 2007 was shaping up and where they could see us in action.
Overall, it was a great weekend. We're looking forward to next
year's event. Hopefully they won't forget to put our full page ad in
the program next year.
